Travel reviews for Boat Lagoon Resort
Date of stay: May 09, 2009
Accommodation and facilities:
My room was fine. The reception desk service was okay. However, people seemed to get different services; for example, I got breakfast coupons, but others at the same conference did not. Not all service providers could speak or understand English that well. My breakfasts were great....but one of my colleagues had a worm in her vegetables!
Reservation service:
I booked online and it was perfect.

Accommodation and facilities:
This was our first stay at Boat Lagoon and we were very pleased with our room and the service provided. We had a double suite on the second floor at the western end of the main complex. Heaps of space, good bed, adequate bathroom, effective air-conditioning. The breakfast facilities and choices were excellent too, as was the adjoining swimming pool. The only downsides were having to boil water and cool it before drinking (electric jug provided) and the lack of soundproofing between adjoining rooms. We solved the latter problem by placing cushions along the bottom of the common door. We would certainly stay here again.
Reservation service:
Excellent. First time we have used Sawadee - very efficient.

Accommodation and facilities:
We stayed at the Boat Lagoon because it was close to where our family lived. The hotel is very clean and the rooms are nicely sized and comfortable. The pool is large and great to swim in. This hotel caters to tours from Korea and Japan and you will find lots of Asian tourists here. There is no beach but it is easy to get a taxi to go anywhere on the island. The staff where friendlu and courteous and always helpful. Great Thai horpitality. If you are looking for authetic Thai food walk to the main street, take the overpass to the other side (don t try to croos the road any other way) As you walk down the steps on the other side continue walking straight ahead (north) for about 50 meters (150 feet) and enjoy a fabulous Thai meal at Chili s. The food is outstanding and very inexpensive. In fact it compared favourably with our meal we enjoyed at the famous Oriental Hotel in Bangkok at a fraction of the price. I don t think they are open at lunch time.
Reservation service:
Sawadee.com is a great booking service. We booked hotels with them at 3 locations in Thailand and got exactly what was advertised. Highly recommended.
