We almost couldn t find the resort as it was hidden in the mountain! The location is too far if you wanna explore the Chiang Rai town and go up to Golden Triangle! But if you wanna just relax and enjoy the mountain view, Phu Chaisai is value for money. Great room, great view, exceptional Thai food at their restaurant and great spa! But some of the facilities eg. swimming pool, common area and gardening is under maintenance. The room #304 we stayed didn t have hot shower at all! The hotel gave us another room just for shower!
Reservation service:
Too many emails bombed into my mailbox for just one single reservation. Can t you simplify the process?

loved it here. the room was great with a nice balcony and a big bath room and extra sitting room. they grow and serve their own organic vegies and herbs. It s great place to relax get the spa treatment and take a tour or 2 of the nearby sights of interests. Not a place for those who like to walk outside and go shopping dining as there isn t really anything else in walking distance.

Accommodation and facilities:
Phu Chaisai is probably one of the most beautiful resorts I have ever been. The view from the resort is heavenly for a photography enthusiast like me. The room is so big and the furnishing is so unique. We had breakfast at the hotel on both days and we did also have dinner. The food is fantastic although we actually didn t expect much. However the highlight of my stay there is when I left one of my shopping bags at the lobby after checked out and we headed to Mae Hong Sorn. I only realized the missing bag 2 days later. I called and the staff is very helpful and trying her very best to find the best way to send the bag to me. Finally we agree to have it sent to Chiangmai where it will be my final destination for this trip before catching my flight home. Here, from the bottom of my heart I would like to thank all the staff at Phu Chaisai for all your assistance.

The environment is excellent and very natural. The food taste really good. Stuffs are helpful and nice. The room is spacious (Deluxe Cottage). Due to the natural matter of Bamboo, woods and leaves, the room is quite old, mold and dusting. Damp and musty smell especially in the rainy season.

Hotel pictures and facilities
The creative mind for over three decades behind many palaces,
restaurants, hotels, resorts, and pubs in Thailand as well as Thai
embassies overseas, noted interior designer ML Sudavadee Kriangkrai
found Phu Chaisai a home for solace and peace of mind. Once a bamboo
forested hill, it was gradually and inventively transformed into a
cozy residence and later a resort, all within five years.
Phu Chaisai is now an oasis of spirituality for city dwellers that seek
refuge from the wear and tear of the city. One can't help but be
impressed by the beauty of the tranquility and the natural setting.
Thirty-four rooms were made of bamboo and are void of television
sets and electronic alarm clocks. In the warm embrace of Mother
Nature, many can make peace with their inner selves.
Simplicity is always the key to ML Sudavadee's designs. In the
East-meets-West fashion show, she defined her design as integrated
for relaxation of body and mind with high-quality hospitality and
professional performance.

Bamboo Cottage
Bamboo is the preferred building material at Phu Chaisai due to its sustainability and abundance among our bamboo forests.
Phu Chaisai owner M.L. Sudavdee recognized that Thai bamboo cottages would blend harmoniously with the surroundings;
she also wanted to utilize and draw out the qualities that she discovered in bamboo, such as its rigor strength and flexibility
to be shaped in any form. Interior furnishing mainly consists of local bamboo whether it is our tables, chairs, door handles,
and even light fixtures. Thus, bamboo is the ideal material for our idyllic mountain resort in Thailand.
